Delta launches high-speed and stable tension control winding machine solution

Delta recently launched a comprehensive solution for winding machines based on its many years of experience and advanced automation products, bringing new technological breakthroughs to the development of high-speed horizontal winding machines. The solution uses standard programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs) for control and user interface operations, and can accurately manage servo drives and motor drives for winding, unwinding and tension control. The high-performance compact drive MH300 series used by it is 40% smaller than the previous generation, can achieve an open-loop output frequency of up to 2000Hz, and has a safe torque off (STO) emergency stop function to ensure the safety of operators and equipment. In terms of tension control, the MH300 series realizes automatic coil diameter calculation and two-level PI control, and can achieve highly stable tension control for different wire materials such as copper, aluminum, iron, aluminum plastic, copper plastic, etc., ensuring reliable winding during high-speed operation, with a maximum operating speed of up to 23m/s. The solution also has the advantages of easy deployment, high versatility, and high efficiency and energy saving.
